Obviously, I am stupid! It is a great tute! But there are a couple questions that I have. I couldn't tell from the pictures if you trim and notch the curves before or after pressing. And also, what size basket will this fit?

Do you ever include a batting? I missed that, if so. I wonder if a layer of flannel in the middle would help keep the bread warm longer?

Stupid isn't allowed here, however, inexperience is allowed here!

It would easier to press if the notches were done first, but either way will work.

I gave this is a gift when I did the tute so I don't have the basket anymore, but looking at the gridlines on my cutting mat, I'd say it was about an 8-9" basket. I got it at JoAnn's.

As for adding batting or a layer of flannel, that would work, but you would have to do some quilting if you used batting.

Thank you for this tutorial! I've made so many of these as gifts! I do add a layer of batting & some quilting. I also make them about 20"x20" so I can get 2 out of a width of fabric. Everyone always loves these- such a unique gift!

Silly question but Is this meant for round baskets? I made a few, and i wanted them for square baskets i already had, they don't look right. Maybe cuz they're empty?

I made lots of these and used the cut out sections put together into circles again for coasters.
