Very cool...and I know how difficult working with tile is. My husband always lays tile in diamond patterns.....more tricky, but worth all the effort.

That's AWESOME!! We have just this last two weeks had our master shower re-tiled due to leaks. It has taken the tile guy so long!! Your's is SO MUCH more complicated!! I can truly appreciate all the time and effort in yours!! Ours was just straight with two decorative borders. No on points. Yours is amazingly detailed!! Congratulations!! Looks like you used the right waterproofing too! (something our previous tile guy did not and hence the reason for the re-do).

So impressive that you could do that without an apprenticeship of some kind! I bet your hubby likes it all now that he sees the end result!
here's a trick for soothing and speeding the healing in your poor hands: Each night rub in a cream with a high aloe vera content. Then rub on a layer of Bag Balm. Next put your hands in either cotton socks, or if you have them, cotton gloves. (You don't have to leave them on all night, just a couple of hours). A few nights of this and you will be able to put on pantyhose without snagging them.
