I think I have done a first. On Saturday I decided that I needed to iron my cotton shorts. I had just gotten out of the shower and only had my undies on at this time. While I was ironing the shorts I got the iron too far over to the side where my tummy was. You guessed it, the iron hit my tummy. But not for long. No my tummy is not that big I was just standing too close to the ironing board and brought the iron over too far. OUCH!!

You're not alone! My mom did that a few times. She used to iron her uniforms at 4 in the morning.

Yep, did this a month ago, except I was ironing pieces for a quilt top and it was too hot in the house so I was ironing just the same.

I did that in my 20's (long time ago) and when I went to the Doctor a couple of years later he thought I had my appendix out! Had a really bad scar, but has disappeared over the years!

OMG the memories came flooding back. When I was about 5-6 my grandma was teaching me to fish the clothes out of the rinse water for her to grab and put thru the wringer washer. You guessed it. She got her hand caught in the wringer it went thru to the wrist and she hit that thing on the top and it reversed and ran her hand back out. No breaks just sore for a long time. I never went near that washer again.

Oh I did that when I was a kid helping my grandma, ran my arm in up above the elbow. Grandma hit the thing to stop it and ran my arm back out. No breaks but it was good that I was a skinny kid.
