Great picture!

Yes the do draw butterflies. I have 2 bushes, and as long as I dead-head the flowers, they bloom all summer.

I used to have a butterfly bush - my husband didn't like it!! I had it planted on the edge of big flowerbed. When our daughter got married here at home, she chose that spot in the front of the bush for the ceremony. There were butterflies in the air all around the couple! There were some nice pictures taken that showed the butterflies. My husband disliked the bush enough to remove it , even though he thought it was neat to see the butterflies at the wedding . . . . .

Cool pictures - beautiful colors - it could win ribbons and prizes. Have you thought of framing it?

Beautiful!! I have the same color butterfly bush in my front yard! It grows like crazy and the butterflies (and bees!) love it.

Love your picture.

I believe you have a Black Knight butterfly bush. Just beautiful. I have one that is only one year old and about two feet high now. The other I do not have the name of, but it is up to the guttters on the house and is a lighter purple. I just purchased three pink ones that get only about 4' high.

Thanks for sharing.

I told our DD the same thing! Funny thing is we planted it to attract hummingbirds. No hummers, but these beautiful creatures are a delight.

What a great photo! A friend gave me butterfly bush
a couple of years ago. You're right; they really do work!
