Default Button hole attachment for feitherweight

was just looking at the buttonhole attachment from husband's grandmother's feitherweight. It is is the original case, all parts, and directions. Does anyone know anything about it. Is it something that you would use aofen?

Those attachments make great buttonholes! And you have all the pieces! Lucky you!

I use my old black Singer buttonholer (it's older than I am) all the time. It makes perfect buttonholes every time and I can adjust the length and the width and the style of buttonhole (keyhole, plain). My buttonholer fits my featherweight, 201 Singer and even my Janome 6500! It's especially good for larger or thicker buttons which I use for the bags I make.

If I have to make buttonholes, that's what I use. It makes a nice, smooth buttonhole without stress. My attachment case is a sort of turquoise green, though and the attachment itself is black.

You might want to jump over to the vintage thread if you have any questions or concerns about it.

Gee I have three of them and have never used them. Guess I better try them out and see what my buttonholes will look like!!
