It's maddening you can't leave anything in your car anymore...not even parking change. So sorry this happened, but seems it is the way of the world now. Definitely report it though, maybe the police will be more watchful in that area.

I just can't believe that it happened in broad daylight, on a very busy highway. And, they did it for 2 dollars.
So sorry about his car, but glad the camera wasn't taken. He IS a good photographer - and I've wondered about your avatar!

My car was broken into a couple months back, not 8 feet from where I was sleeping. I had left the window down a couple inches to vent, and they must've used something to get in. They stole, not only the change in the ashtray, but the ashtray itself! Scarier yet, they took a set of house keys I had in the glove box. My car is 14 years old, but I guess they just help themselves to whatever they feel like. It's a lot easier to steal than to find a job in these parts.

My daughter had her car broken into a few years ago. They didn't steal anything, they just cleaned it up. lol
Her car isn't always the cleanest inside, she keeps sample books from work in the back seat. I guess they were trying to "cover up" their break in.....LOL

Yeah, that's awful what happen to your son, glad he wasn't in the car. We never know why people do the things they do, but maybe the person was hungry and all he could see was two dollars for food.
