Default Can't prove delivery wasn't delivered?

I got a notice a package was delivered at 1;06 today by Fed Ex. I was on my front porch from 12 to 2 pm reading . I contacted the help center and was told unless the package required a signature there was no way I could prove the package wasn't delivered. I asked if I could make a complaint and was told that was not an option for this. ??? Sorry but nothing we can do. It's on the website under regulations and I should have read that. I felt like I was considered trying to con the delivery company after talking to the help center. I contacted the company I ordered from and the rep said that has been happening a lot the last few months, much more then usual. I was issued a refund with no hassle. Seem if the company is recognized for certain items then the packages seem not to be delivered. If the burden of proof is on the receiver then no consequence at all to the delivery company is there?

Maybe if the company is known for certain items, they should not put their name on the package. Or, use a fictitious name and alert the buyer of this. Well, at least they suffered the loss. I guess they are ok with the thefts.

Maybe next time pay the extra cost for signature required?

T
hat was not an option from the selling company. Bottom line is all customers pay for the loss in higher prices.

According to my postman even if a signature was required I'd have to prove it wasn't mine or that someone signed for me that wasn't me. A video door bell is the best way to prove a package was not delivered at the time stated or that a delivery was made at all. Still a big hassle to prove with the delivery company but the video doorbell is a deterrent. This is the second time of no delivery in a few months. Both times a speedy refund was given.

Must be the reason that I receive a picture of the package on my porch with Amazon notification that package has been delivered. If you receive a refund from the company that sent the package, that's about all you can ask for. The sending company is chosing the shipping company so it is for them to follow up.

Same thing happened to me last week Amazon replaced it no questions asked. I was on the porch as well. Someone is lying and it isn't us. I have had numerous discussions with Macy's about their 8 inch plus logos on the outside of their boxes.....still no change.

I agree. As long as you get a refund then I wouldn't worry about it. If the company has to make enough refunds, they may change carriers. Loss of business will be their consequence.

Your package may show up today or in the next few days. Can you check with neighbors to see if they received it?

My neighbors have teeny tiny address numbers on their house. Mine are big, bold and can be seen from the street. It would have to be a very non observant person not to see the address on the package matches my house numbers. I got a refund but it still makes me grumpy to be told so what, who cares ? by the delivery company.
