Your pillow looks great. We had a flower shop about 10 yrs ago and usually charged $35. The family usually is already spending enough on the casket spray and the pillows do not hold $90 worth of flowers. JMHO.

I have seen them at funerals, usually older people but did not think about it having a name. I was thinking pillow for their head, well now I now. Thanks for the lesson.

I know it is crazy o charge that for one of these. The funeral in in Lake County, IL...and prices there are crazy for things...I know when my mom passed away in 1996 we paid 25.00 for one with roses for all of her grandchildren...and I think at that time there was 12

I've never heard of a casket pillow, either, so there are a lot of us out here. From reading the postings, I think a casket pillow would be something a child (or anyone, really) would place on or near the casket as a special remembrance from the individual(s)? So if there were more than one child, each would place their own pillow. I see how that could add up if there were several children and a retail florist was used. Your pillow is lovely and I'm sure it was appreciated. Sorry for their loss.

I got a heart shaped pillow and put a small amount of flowers on the pillow and made ribbon strings and taped small pictures of the grandkids or great grand children on the bottom of the ribbon.

This is a lovely idea, but I, like so many others, have never heard of it. It really is a sweet remembrance.
