As long as I keep the everyday scissors in the right places, I have nothing to worry about!

I have all my scissores in a box. Now if I ever catch my DH with mine. I would go to his truck find a golf club and use it as a hammer LOL. Plus he would know I would do this.LOL!!!!!!!

Found my Gingher scissors in the kitchen. I'm not sure what the stuff was on the blades - some sort of dried food??? I won't divorce him for that, just cleaned them up and hid them in my sewing room. There are other things that he's done that might have been cause for divorce - won't say what he put in the dishwasher, but I almost made him buy me a new one. I did run about half a gallon or a gallon of bleach through it (several wash cycles) before I'd put dishes in it again.

I made my DH read through all of these responses. It has reinforced the FEAR of ever touching my scissors! He is even afraid to enter my sewing room in case he touches something he shouldn't!

My DDIL has just started sewing, and I severely warned her husband (my son) to NEVER use her sewing scissors, for ANYTHING! She thanked me for that!

My ex husband once decided to use my sewing scissors as wire snips. Totally ruined the blades

My current husband came to me pretrained to appreciate the concept of sewing scissors for fabric only. Not only would he never touch my scissors, he sometimes asks how they are holding up, if I need to have them sharpened or need to buy new ones etc.

Had this problem for years with the hubby and girls. Now the girls are gone and hubby has lots of ruined ones to fall back on and I have a new pair of "just fabric scissors" safely stored in my sewing room. I always figured that it was easier, cheaper and less painful to buy a new pair than to divorce my girls and hubby.

Same here, I have cheap, but sharp, scissors everywhere. He has always been respectful of my sewing supplies except my little screw drivers!! I finally bought him a set of his own little screwdrivers and now I steal his as they are better than the ones that came with my sewing machines!!!LOL

Yes, it is called marriage! I still love the guy after 38 years!!

Sounds as if some of the Ladies and their husbands have a little bit of a respect issue.

I have colored handled scissors for everyday use. If they are all chrome, they are for fabric.
