What do you all do with your old cell phones? I have 3 of them, along with the wall chargers and car chargers. Can they be used by someone else?

You can check with the police department. I know some of them collect used cell phones for people that can't afford them, but they can then call 911. I know around here they give them to women who have been abused and are trying to leave their spouses. I have also seen drop boxes in town.

There are places that take them in and give them to people without a phone so that can call 911. If it won't work for your plan anymore you can still dial 911 on it.

Give them to a local Womens shelter they can use them for battered women as an emergency phone.

You can drop them off at the police station or YWCA for abused women  most of the shelters locations are kept secret.

Both these ideas are good. I had a couple of old ones that I charged up and dropped off at the police department. They do keep the location of the women's shelters secret, for obvious reasons.
Having the charger WITH the phone is good, and if it is charged up already that is better.
