Trojan horse removal?
#1
I have an AVG antivirus program and for the last couple of days it has found a trojan horse which it can't heal or move because it comes up as an inaccessible object. I have tried the website and the 800 number listed which just keeps disconnecting me.
Does anyone know how to remove it or a program I can get that will be able to access an inaccessible object?
Thanks for any help anyone can give.

Also look for a cc cleaner, not sure where it would be but it can clean the comp system and remove unwanted programs that you might not be aware are there. I hope this helps you.

Malwarebytes is a free downloadable program that I use in conjunction with AVG, as it seems to catch some things that AVG doesn't.
That said, I had to keep trying, and then google every error message I got, to find all the little pieces of the virus and the appropriate ways to remove them. It had found a way to repopulate itself and redirect me online so I couldn't upgrade AVG. It took days, but I did it.
Sending good thoughts your way!

I had something that came up on my computer and stated I had trojans and virus. Looked very official. I believe it was called Secure Ware. Was a blue shield behind the name. Directed me to a site to purchase this program. Would not let me delete it. I ran my virus software whch indicated no problems, so I did a restrore to a previous date, which seemd to take care of the problem.

Yeah...I've had that same "spam" type problem with them trying to sell the product and it won't let you get out of that page...GRRRRRR!
Hope the malware gets it clean...you can find a free download for cc cleaner on cnet.com
