I like being home again, and missed my kitty Zoey. She hasn't left my side all day and night.
When I come home, I try to extend the vacation with a special meal or outing for a day or two.

you're home now. do you buy small gifts from where you've been for the person who watched your house and pets, OR, take them out to dinner???
put off till tomorrow what you can do today, and if you procrastinate long enough, you may never have to do it.

If I don't pay for services while I am gone, I buy a gift certificate for the people who helped me out, or trade favors with them.

You're back to your daily life and/or work, how soon do you start planning your next getaway ... a week or a month?
Make it a scrappy happy day!

Room with a balcony I am terribly claustrophobic. I can't breath in those tiny interior rooms.

Ports of call do you just wing it and wander on your own or book an activity/tour so you get a chance too see more of where you are?

We take lots of pictures and I buy postcards maps things that remind me if where we were. Someday they I'll go into scap books. I used to do it all the time but it was something I put away some day I'll get to it again.

I want to go out and try something new if you went with me would you prefer Ethiopian or African?

Oh poor Lynnie you need some west coast Mexican food. Done right they all have differnt flavor profiles and texture. And no they do not have to be hot.

But on to your question I like hot sauce but will eat any that have a good flavor.

Ok time for dessert traditional flan or tres leches cake?

Mmmm we used to make them at home we hardly wait long enough for them to cool enough to not burn let alone wait for ice cream. We were not smart enough to ave a bowl of ice cream waiting. So mostly cinnamon and sugar but there are really good stuffed with honey.

Ok your making quilts for kids do you prefer making boy or girl quilts?

Almost always twin or larger. That way it can be on the bed or drug out to the couch.

When you make kid quilts do you have a favorite go to pattern (yours or designer) or do you often try something new?

Kind of true? It actually belongs to my oldes daughter but I ave possession of it. My grandmother pieced it, it was found after her death and given to my mom. Mom decided to hold on to it till I had a baby (1989 no kids yet). When they returned from that trip was when I told her I was pregnant. Mom gave it to my sil to hand quilt then mom did the binding and label. So my oldest daughter has a quilt that 3generations of Green women worked on. it was finished and give to her when we got home from the hospital. Mom wanted her name on the label. FYI today is my oldests birthday she's 24.

Ok long story but I wanted to share.

Family quilts are they used or at least out where they can be seen, or hidden away in a closet?

The only one i have is a yo yo quilt my grandma made in the 50's. she gave it to me when i was about 16. i had it out for the longest time, but now it's in a closet, i don't want it fading anymore. will take it out again.

Wedding quilt...do you have one, and if you do, do you use it?

I do not have a wedding quilt, I didn't know that was a thing, but I did make Mr. bill a quilt for our first anniversary we used it on our bed for years and then it was a something the kids loved and used. Still have it it's not used much but it's out and still usable.

Have you made a memory quilt using clothing, or something else to remind you of that person or persons?

Not a quilt, but teddy bears for passed relatives. (I've designed and made jewelry after relatives passing).

The person below me makes pillows or teddies in remembrance of passed relatives with their cloths?

No not currently but the weather guy is telling me it will be 75 and mostly sunny.

Lynnnie I wish I had thought to do that when my mom passed.

Ok it's going to be a mild yet sunny spring day and you are spending time with a friend which would you prefer?

    A. hit some yard/garage sales and comb through stuff
    B. Visit a favorite antique store
    C. Open all the windows and enjoy the breeze while you sew together.
