Yes! Seriously we have done both and they both are good can there be a bad vacation? Oh wait yes but I have whipped that from the memory banks by overwriting it with good memories. Most of ours are actully what I think of in the middle longer than 3 days (my version of short) shorter than 15 days (which was our usual long trip) till this last one that was 6 weeks. I love them all except that one.

Vacation in the same place all the time like you always go to the same lake or beach, always stay at the same place or do you mix it up going to different places experiencing new things and locations?

    different places

on vacation, do you sty at a hotel, a rv, a condo or an apartment
put off till tomorrow what you can do today, and if you procrastinate long enough, you may never have to do it.

Most often we rent a condo or house when the kids were younger we rented houseboats with friends or family. Never have rented an rv rental just seems way to expensive to us.

Ok home from vacation do you return to work or your use life immediately or still have a day or 2 to get back to normal before jumping back in?

When I worked and after week-long vacations, I saved one day of vacation time to get back in the groove; for short or weekend getaways that was reduced to hours.

Ok, you're home from vacation, what do you do with all the stuff .... launder and organize as you put it away or pile it in the garage (or back patio) and work on it a bit at a time?

when on vacation, we each have a hefty to put or dirties in, come home and stuff it in the wash and do it then, otherwise, it's too overwhelming

Do you try to over extend your vaction?
when we went to Disney, the following weekend we sae LION KING on Broadway, ate micky mouse Mac and Chees. that sort of thing?

Aside from actually extending the # of days we were away, we don't extend our vacation once home.

    Apricots or oranges?

generally a country vacation but did a NYC vacation a couple of times going to 6 Broadway and off-Broadway shows in 3 days.

Do you memorialize your vacation with scrapbook pages or just enjoy the memories?

eh we take a ton of pictures that end up on a slide show as my screen saver we print out a few for frames and the rest are waiting patiently for me to put into scrap books we will not talk about how far behind I am

I live in a place that millions of people visit annually, often when we are visiting other places people say "why are you here? You live in an amazing vacation place” it always makes me think we should "staycation" and pretend we are tourists, take the tours, see the sites, "visit" my own city. Do you ever do that where you live?

sometimes. I live on Long Island, NY. same thing i hear here. about 20 minutes from the Hamptons (that used to be my last name too). Billi, do you live near the beach? Im 10-15 minutes in both directions (without traffic). I love the beach, dh hates it...sand. poor baby!!!! Where i live, it's a golf resort area, we live on a golf course. indoor/outdoor pool with cafe and tiki bar and all the amenities. Alot of people play "stavacation" here.

When on vacation, do you collect certain things? (I collect sand)

I always get something tea towel, shells found not purchased, for my beach room, or a Christmas ornament that reflects where we were or part of the trip sometimes they are beautiful sometimes that are tacky as can be because it suites the experience. I love them all. l this year I think I'll have enough for thier own little tree.

Lynnie I'm about 30 minutes from the beach while we don't go to the beach often we regularly go to the beach communities to shop, eat or just walk. We are in the east county of San Diego we do not live on a golf course but we do have three of them within minutes of our house.

So me question to all is Does your dh or SO golf? If so do you go with?

Mine does and oh hell no I do not go withhim.
