wait, but sometimes after, sometimes b4. Last year the tree was up b4 thanksgiving bc Haunnaka came early. this year it's in December, so it will come down about new years. Since my dh is Jewish, we celebrate Hannamas, and have a white tree with aqua ornaments. it's a very calming, soothing color scheme, and very pretty. Some are handmade.

The person below me makes the same dinner every year for Christmas?

Not usaully, unless we plan ahead and share a meal so we are not too full.

I grew up with depression era parents, we wasted nothing, so I grew up eating leftovers in a variety of ways, my family loves having leftovers to the point on some meals I specifically plan and make sure there will be some.

Are you and your family a keep it that can be lunch tomorrow or remade with other stuff for another dinner?
    OR
Do you try to make just enough for one meal and toss what is nt eaten?

I grew up with waste nothing. My dh on the other hand, will not eat leftovers, EVER! somethings taste better leftover. Lasagna for example, he won't eat casseroles so that's out. he may eat leftover turkey, but that's about it.

For the holidays, do you have special plates or just use everyday ones?

I have a set of china that we occasionally use but only when there is a small group I only have a setting for 8.

I got my china when we got married I have often wished I had not registered for it I loved it then and it is pretty but it no longer reflects my style.

My question is did you get china when you got married?
Are you still in love with it? Or like me has your taste changed?

Christmas dinner? What's that?? LOL My family doesn't really celebrate holidays, so I'd have to go with "something else".

Yes :-) I stuff it and cook a pan of it then when I unstuff the bird to carve I stir them together and toss it back in the oven while the turkey "rests" before carving.

Is your dressing breads and aromatics like onion and celery OR. Do you also add meats like sausage or oysters?

Im in the breads and aromatics camp
