Ones I just found in a closet clean-out were made by my kids when small. Just took a plastic foam ball and scored it, then stuck pieces of sparkly fabrics into the scores. They put some glue on them and sprinkled more glitter. A long needle through it with a knotted thread caught the hanger for the tree.
They are still good..and my kids are 43, 51 and 52.

I have a bunch of links for xmas ornaments on my personal site - there are too many to link to here. I'm sure you'll find something that sings to be made :D

I will say that I'm planning on making some paper pieced ornaments this year. I have them notated on my site to remind me later of what is on my to do list...
I should get started on them pretty soon too!

When I was in JoAnn's the other day, I came across some material that had ornaments printed on it. You cut out the two matching pieces and sew together and stuff. Cute, too, but not something I am into, so didn't buy it.
