I have tried every cleaner known to man and haven't found one that will take the grease spots off my backsplash without scrubbing forever. I even used oven cleaner but the spots were still there after setting for an hour. I got a razor blade scraper to use on my oven glass window. That works great. No scrubbing needed.

Simple Green. It works great on grease and just about everything else and the best part is that it is a "food safe" cleaning product so you don't have to worry about any leftover residue that might not get rinsed off. I used this stuff to clean a stainless steel popcorn popper kettle when working concessions/snack bar and it took everything right off and didn't leave any streaks.

After years of trying just about every new product that claimed to make cleaning easier in 2004 I started using vinegar and bi-carb. Just recently I've discovered how micro cloths will clean anything. If you feel it still need more just wipe over with a cloth wrung out in hot soapy water. Ask me how I know.
They don't need to be expensive cloths. I bought mine in a discount store. To clean your cloths soak in hot water to which you've added 1 TBsp of washing soda.

Sodium Carbonate.....here's a link to "make your own", but I'm guessing the commercial one may work better.

Awesome cleaner and a damp mr. clean magic eraser. These 2 items get the thickest toughest greasy gunk from under the range hoods, grooves of the stoves and dishwashers, convection and microwave oven greasy vents and tops, etc. And it is 'awesome' in getting caked on bathtub soap scum off easily. Cleaned out several apts and houses when adult kids moved and each time was easy with these 2 products.

It's good to know how to turn baking soda into washing soda in case I can't get it at Wal Mart. In fact I can get it at my local Mad Butcher. It's located in the detergent section and a box lasts a long time. I use it to make my own laundry detergent.
