This is my first attempt at making one of these type bowls. It was so much fun! I gifted it to a friend that was visiting from China. She loved it. Can't wait to make another one.

Turned out great! I love using up skinny strips of fabric making those. I keep a basket under the cutting table to toss strips into, then sit watching tv wrapping clothesline... I think I have about 150 feet wrapped right now... I should probably stop wrapping and start sewing soon. Your bowl gives me a ' nudge '

Very pretty. I also make hot pads with this way. Fun to do.

I have made a few of these, but wrapped as I sewed...doesn't it unwind when you do it ahead like that...just curious

They are addictive! I also keep a plastic tub under my sewing table for scraps. Mostly it is from where I even up the edges before I make a cut. Good job!

I used the same "wrapped rope" method to make large hot mats for 9x13 baking dishes. My family loves them!

Last year I bought the book, "It's a Wrap" by Susan Breier from Amazon and have found it to be a great book for learning her method of wrapping cotton clothesline and making these bowls. Her instructions and photo's a very nice in the book and easy to follow. I will definitely be making more because it is a bit addicting and FUN
