That seller has no prior sales or feedback. I would have been leery any way. That line about canceling all bids if they are not contacted at their email address is a huge red flag. They don't want to have to pay the eBay fees by letting their listings run out. So it sounds like if someone actually has the highest bid, they will not honor it because they don't want to pay the fees.

no, this is just the latest scam - "contact me off ebay". I would bet there is no machine, they just want you to send a payment that does not give you any protection, like Western Union.

Never go "off Ebay" to complete a transaction, it is always a scam and you lose any protection as a buyer.

Seems everyday I hear of a new scam. Easier for them to try to get someone else's money than to get a job and buy their own.

This is very true what jingle says. No one wants to work anymore, just steel.

I don't purchase a lot on line, but when I do I use PAYPAL. If the seller wants you to send payment a certain way other than PAYPAL or how you want to send it. BEWARE.

When making a high dollar purchase on Ebay, and you are unsure of the seller's honesty, you can use an escrow service to pay...basically for a small percentage, they take your money and hold it, and do not give it to the seller until you've received your item and are satisfied. Any honest seller on Ebay would have no problem with this..if they say no..run!
