    A coin purse

Every November, I drive about two hours to a small town on business for a weekend. Last year, I met a family who has a ten-year-old daughter with the same first name as mine - Tate. This was really surprised me. Also, every time her mother would say something like, "Tate, please pass the salt," we would both reach for it.

So I'll be going back soon and I made her a small coin purse. I used a wrapper from a small bag of cookies. I used iron-on vinyl to strengthen and protect the wrapper. It's lined and I used cotton batting to give it a little more body.

What a clever, personal, and wonderful gift! Name-a-likes are precious; it's nice you found yours and how lucky she is to have this gift from you.

And speaking of name-a-likes, you share a last name with someone close to me....spelled the same, too _- two ls, two ts! That's very important!

Very cute. Special too, because she probably has a hard time finding her name on all those name souvenirs.
I promise not to buy any more fabric until I see something I really like. Or it's on sale. Or I think it might match something.

such a special gift for her. I live on Long Island where they make the cookies. I love them even though they are quite pricey. You'd figure they'd be cheaper her, but they aren't. Now I want to go to 7-11 and get some. Beautiful work on the coin purse.
put off till tomorrow what you can do today, and if you procrastinate long enough, you may never have to do it.
