My daughter requested some of these coloring books for her
birthday last November. So I bought her about 10 books and
a 50 color pack of colored pencils and a 50 color set of markers.

After getting her all those I decided I needed some for myself.

LOL I even found a "Cats & Quilts" adult coloring book on Amazon.

Funny you should ask. I'm just taking a break from coloring to check the forum. As usual, I'm caught up in a frenzy of obtaining supplies for this latest obsession. Let's see. There's knitting, scrapbooking, quilting, now coloring. I'll have plenty to keep me occupied in my retirement.

No, it doesn't interest me as much as quilting does.

After having some health issues due to stress, I purchased a couple of books. I already had the pencils to use for quilting when I am drafting patterns. My problem is that while I NEVER feel like this when I am crafting, I feel like I am not productively using my time when I color. I've had the books for over a year and have only done a couple of pages.

Happy day!

Default Coloring bug

Yes - I'm guilty also. So now I quilt, color, read, garden and sometimes cook, clean, etc.

I colored so much as a kid, I really don't want to return to it. The books, though, have amazing designs. I bought a book and colored pencils for my SIL who is caring for a mother who has Alzheimer's. I think it will be a calming activity if she chooses to try it. It's a great activity. She doesn't quilt and is done with embroidery for awhile, so I'm hoping this will help.

I caught the coloring bug too. I have several coloring books next to the recliner in the living room. Along with tons of colored pencils and gel pens. Since I can't sit at my sewing machine, I sit and color for a bit each day.
