Default Costume Question

Ladies I need to pick your brains again. I am making costumes for Once Upon a Mattress and need to make a dress for Winnifred where she swims the moat & needs to come on stage wet but then dry quickly. Any fabric suggestions? Thanks!!!

A loosely woven polyester might work. Poly doesn't absorb water but will hold it temporarily, between the fibers.

Vinyl would shed water faster but might be uncomfortably hot.
