Looks bad. Surely though the holder could not be liable? A problem for the CC companies for sure. I know when my identity was stolen i got all the money credited back to me.

MY 20 year old granddaughter purchased something that cost $5 from the internet. A couple of days later she came and showed me her bank information and there had been 3 charges totalling $200 on it that she never made. She went to the bank to have them correct the problem and while she was sitting in the bank there were two more small charges for "international wire transfer fee". Turned out the charges were from an African country. Bank of America fraud unit is looking into the scam.

Thanks, I had no idea my card could be a problem. I'm due to get a new card soon and I'm going to make sure it doesn't have this chip. Again, thanks so much!

I have a Chase card and just checked it and it does have the chip, so I called and they are sending replacement cards. Also forwarded this to family and friends
