I'm not sure how many of you also cross-stitch but I was bummed today when I got my new copy of The Cross-Stitcher magazine. Its turns out it is the last copy of that magazine to be printed. The publication is going to be rolled into Crafts'nThings. I used to get Crafts'n Things until it became too focused on scrapbooking (which is probably the only craft I really haven't tried). They are also rolling their painting magazine and Pack of Fun into Crafts'nThings which means less coverage for all the crafts especially if they continue to focus largely on scrapbooking. Oh well, we'll see but I am bummed. Just needed to vent.

That's a bummer. I used to get Cross Stitcher magazine along with several other Cross stitch magazines. I havn't cross-stitched in years, but hope to again.
I am not into scrapbooking either. Too bad we're losing all the individual crafting mags!

My favorite was "For the Love of Cross Stitch" which went out a few years back. I was so upset but do have back issues to work from.
I learned to cs in the '80's and other than some on-line stores, there really isn't much out there anymore.

The Cross Stitcher was a great magazine until about 9 or 10 years ago when the editor left. Too many people dropped their memberships after she left because the magazine stopped being the unique magazine it was back then. The new editor couldn't keep what the previous one was doing. I dropped mine after a few issues. The difference was so clear. I am surprised it lasted this long.

Hope you all find a new magazine. Times are a changing and I don't like changes. LOL. Maybe google for a crossstitch site that has free patterns and wonderful ideas. Good luck. *H*U*G*S*
