Since he is primarily known for his sitcoms, he seemed a strange choice. Hard position to fill.

Same feelings here and I recorded it but haven't watched it either. It just isn't the same anymore.

I loved William Peterson, but didn't like him with Sara. I never felt like Fishburne really fit in. I like Red, but didn't like her in charge. As far as Ted Danson, I have never liked him. When I saw that he was coming on, I thought that I'd would never watch CSI again. But, I watched it last night and I was surprised. I like how quirky the character is. I never thought that I would actually say this, but I liked Ted Danson! I think that the team is missing a female character that could bring a little romantic tension to the show, kind of like Catherine and Grissom did back in the day. And I agree, they must NEVER mess with Nick!! I will be interested in watching to see what develops.

Me, too! Once my favorite person leaves a show, I have a hard time getting into the replacement character....

I feel like you! As for Ted, until bit parts recently, in an older man type roll, I never really cared for him. He did a comedy with Dianne Keaton, the one where three women still money from this money place they work at, & he was hubby. He was funny & different in that roll. I thought his roll was very different the other night, but did like some of what I saw, so am waiting to see what's next. I have been getting real tired of all these type shows, so maybe a few changes will help, who knows. If not, they probably won't be on much longer...

Of the original cast, I liked Grissom, Greg (before he was in the field) and Warrick. Everyone else is just ok to me. I don't like Sarah at all and don't care much for Hodges either. Archie is ok but not on much. So honestly, there's no one who makes me want to watch anymore.

I really liked the TD character, in fact he reminded me of the days of Grissom, because he was quirky and I like the quirky. I stayed with it through Fishbourne, but did not really care for it and I also did not like Katherine as the boss either. I am looking forward to this year, I really got tired of Sara so was glad when she went away, but don't mind her now that she has come back. I did notice that we have another new character and that it the sheriffs, daughter. So I wander if she is the one taking Katherine's place when she leaves.

I am not a Ted Danson fan but I really liked him in this part. Bruckheimer is a genius and handles the staff changes in unique ways. I will admit that I am still a CSI Miami fan though.
