Happy 4th to you too!!

We are having a family cook-out (hamburgers and hot dogs) making home-made peach ice cream, eating plenty of watermelon.

---what are your holiday plans?

Happy 4th, but it's the 5th for me.
We didn't do anything. Put a down payment on a new car for hubby, then came home and just hung out. It mainly rained so we knew fireworks would probably be cancelled.

I think they had a carnival of some sort, not sure.

St. Louis is experiencing a mild rain and it has delayed the parades in the area. It has cooled off and the rain is continuing way past the time they thought it would. They pushed the parades back an hour, but I think they may have difficulty getting them in. More rain predicted for the rest of the day! Radio says their is a light rain, but at my house it is a moderate rain. I will not be going out to watch the parades! :(

This is one of my favorite holidays! This year both the kids are off doing their own thing, so DH and I are just going to putter around the house doing whatever we want (guess what I'm doing!), then go get take-out at the best barbeque place in the world, and go to a fireworks show this evening. I'm a sucker for fireworks shows--it's just no the same as watching it on TV!
