Good for you Anita. It sure is hard during the holidays. I hope I don't gain back what I lost in November. I am trying to be good but........
We picked up our tree on Sunday. It is still in the entry way, in the stand but undecorated. Maybe tonight.
I have to bake about 15 loaves of sweet bread for staff gifts. I may start this evening and continue tomorrow while I am watching my little grand baby. I get to baby sit on Thursdays. Her mommy is a teacher so we all get 2 weeks off from sitting (at least for her work)
Any way, this poppy seed bread I am going to make is to die for. But lot's of oil and sugar and I'm sure very bad for me. I hope I can resist eating much of it!

My last day of school is tomorrow. The kids have of course been off the hook all week. The classroom is a zoo. My kindergartener was awful today. Our staff breakfast is tomorrow. There is going to be tons of food. I can avoid donuts, not too sure about the rest of it. I have packed a plain salad for my lunch.
I can't seem to get in the mood for Christmas. I just finished my tree and still need to get the rest of the stuff decorated. My DH family is coming to celebrate Christmas on Sunday, about 50 people. I need to get moving.
I haven't made a single cookie.

I was doing really well this month considering all of the parties I have been to. I still haven't made any cookies which is so unusual for me. I say was doing well because I have been bad. I had my DH family here on Sunday, about 50 people. I have been eating candy etc ever since. I had pecan pie for breakfast yesterday and leftover pizza for lunch. I had some candy for a bedtime snack. Hopefully my DH will eat the rest of the pecan pie pretty soon before it ends up in my mouth.

Thank you Pat. Merry christmas to everyone too.

Not much loss but atleast no gain sofar. It will be an unimpressive month as far as loss goes for me. I hope to make it through by atleast not gaining. The cold weather is not helping me. It makes me feel like eating and eating and preferably warm starchy foods.

Merry Christmas, everyone. My day was extremely blessed. Twenty two of my children and grandchildren were here for a day of shared love, food, and fun. It was a close call, though could have been closer. I lost power due to high winds at 2:30 AM Thursday. It was restored 17 hours later at 7:30 in the evening. In time to have light to put on my makeup to usher at church. Our Christmas dinner menu was adjusted slightly, but no one went hungry. My hearts go out to those still without power - Sunday is the projected restore time for outlying areas. 30,000 still down in this area. Thank God for the Consumers Power workers who are doing their utmost to get us all back on line. A grandson and his new wife offered their house - the East side of town had power, but the logistics of the move were not something I wanted to deal with. Sweet of them to offer, though. One SIL had to leave. He does computer work for the MI prison system and the power outage was interfering with a prison downstate. My son offered to take his family home so they could stay, which is an extra 100 miles for him, but that's what little brothers are for. (Little brother is 44).

Tomorrow is a new day and an opportunity to deal with what we indulged in today. Ice cream was my downfall.
Love and light to all.

I hope that everyone had a very Merry Christmas. It was very quiet with just my DH and I. We don't celebrate any holiday (by choice), so we were out metal detecting on the beach for the day. The weather up here in New Hampshire was in the high 60's and low 70's on Thursday and Friday. Weird! Now I hear there is snow predicted for Tuesday. Gotta love New England!

Hope you all stay on course...if not, let's NOT beat ourselves up too much.

Have a great Boxing Day!

We had a nice holiday. On Christmas Eve there were 40 of us at my mom's house. I shop for her for the food. We just have turkey and ham sandwiches for dinner. After we play the white elephant game and open the other gifts we eat the good stuff. Appetizers and Christmas cookies. On Christmas all 4 of my kids came here, not all at the same time. My son could get triple time if he worked so he went in at 7:30PM. ( plus he gets an extra day off). His wife and daughter are in Japan so I guess it was OK. She is Japanese. I had my mom and uncle for dinner. It was a nice quiet relaxing dinner. We had a party at a friends last night. I feel gross, like I have eaten 10 pounds. Back on track today. We still have a get together with my cousins, who I rarely see any more on Tuesday at a pizza restaurant. I really need to get to the gym. No spinning class this week.
The weather here has been weird also. It was 70 degrees yesterday. If it hadn't been raining I would have gone for a bike ride. That is not normal December weather here. The year my DD was born it was -12.
Have a nice holiday.

Struggling. Went 3 lbs back up since Christmas. So far today I am on track but then the hardest part of the day is still to come. I am hoping the 3 lb will drop quickly if I am good. If....
