I am hoping i can maintain for December. They already have food planned for work the last 10 days. I still need to make cookies. I am making 2 purses for my mom for Christmas. I finished one and I am not happy with how it came out .It is easier to start over then to rip it so I am starting over. I also need to come up with a gift for the guild Christmas party next week. We will also have food there. We are having an officers meeting at Bob Evans coming up too. We are planning next years meetings. We still need to come up with an officers challenge for next year. So many things that invilve food. Maybe I need to have my teeth wired shut:-)

The winner for November is Jeanne49. She lost 8.25 pounds. Congratulations! Awesome job.
Good luck to all of us in December. It is so hard with all of the parties etc. The food etc starts tomorrow at work. They are ordering in food. I am getting a rueben sandwich. Next week they are starting with the cookies and appetizers etc.
I hope I can do well avoiding most of the food.
I am working on making 2 purses for my mom for Christmas. Hopefully I will finish one tonight. I also need a gift for the guild Christmas party by Tuesday. I just am not coming up with a good idea this year.

I weighed myself on the first but forgot to say, "Count me in!" Never did one of these challenges before but hope to lose something.

Well, my sister has, so far, baked 3 batches of cookies, and has more planned for tomorrow and the weekend. I'm really not supposed to eat anything made with wheat flour, but I love cookies. So far I've eaten 2 1/2 cookies, one I split with my sister cause I just wanted a taste - it was a chocolate cookie. I have to make pizzelles but probably won't make those for about another week or so. I just have to keep telling myself - no, no, no - when I walk into the kitchen and see those cans filled with cookies. Of course, weighing yourself every morning helps keep you on track. We'll see how this month goes - good luck to everyone.

Hello Ladies,
Congratulations on your super loss Jeanne! That shows dedication - it takes effort to make the numbers on the scale go down. I hope that December is just as successful for you.

I am down 4# for the week as I have been staying with my son and I just don't eat. I am home for the weekend and it seems I"ve done nothing but eat since getting here.

I'm approaching a panic as the days tick away. I've decided to push my remaining 2 quilts to the front and only do the travel pillows if I have time. We will be leaving the Monday or Tuesday of Christmas week, so I gotta have them done before then.

I also have to allow myself enough time to make my batches of banana bread. This is supposed to be a joyous season, not an exhausting one.

Tell yourself no to just one thing today that you wanna eat that takes you away from the goal you have.

Oh my gosh, it didn't even click with me that it was December and time to start a new month of weight loss. This is such a crazy time of year!! Am I too late to jump on the wagon? My FQ is already sent in and I have a Fitbit scale so I have my December first weight logged.

Congrats Jeanne on a great month!! Fantastic!

I'm not too disappointed with my November numbers considering everything that was happening that month. I think I pretty much stayed the same. The main thing was Halloween. The candy wasn't an issue, it was the double batch of puppy chow I made for our party that nobody touched. It's my weakness I'm ready for a successful December, it seems like it would be a difficult month to get through but I can't foresee too many off diet days.

Well I ate several cookies again today. My sister bought a cookie mix - Salted Caramel - and are they delicious. I only had half of one, but I ate 3 lemon cookies. I asked her to stash those tins somewhere that wasn't accessible to me. But I, so far, haven't gained back any of what I lost last month, so I will really have to watch myself. Been trying to get on the eliptical an extra 15 min. each day. I generally do 15 min. in the AM and 15 min in the PM, so I am trying to get on for 15 min. sometime during the afternoon.

I'm back in, Pat. I'll send FQ asap.

We've already had our work party, so I don't need to worry about that. We have our family parties coming up. I think I'll go with the 'take a small bite of everything I want to try, but not overdo it' strategy.
