I haven't been on the scale yet but am feeling pretty good. I've been doing much better about snacking in the afternoon (not doing it, I should say!). Of course, I haven't baked cookies yet. That's on the agenda for next weekend .

Jeanne, congratulations, that's fantastic.

Pat, how did the purses come out? What did you decide to make for your guild party gift? Someone on this board shared a link for a log cabin Santa which looked pretty cool. I might try making that in the new year.

So much for not having any off diet days!! I had the scariest day yesterday, we really don't know what happened yet, but my 15 year old son was standing on the stairs talking to my daughter and she said it looked like he fell asleep while they were talking and then he fell down. When I got to him seconds later it looked like he was having a seizure, but I don't know if that's what it was as his movements weren't too wild. When he came to he was disoriented and had amnesia. We were at the ER from 5:30pm until 1:30am. He has a concussion, a broken cheek bone, and a huge fat lip and is still a little out of it. We'll know more this week when we can have some tests run. When I left with the paramedics my 13 year old daughter stayed home with my 8 year old daughter and then our friend came and took the girls for the evening. She was so sweet and brought us a bag of cookies from Panera, but as we hadn't had dinner yet and nothing else was available to eat my husband and I shared the bag of cookies. I was so thankful for them!!! I'm just so glad he wasn't hurt any worse than he was. I'm anxious to get him to the doctor Monday morning. He's been sleeping most of the day but is in good spirits when he's awake. My 13 year old was amazing, she jumped right into action and stayed calm and collected and kept her little sister calm through the whole ordeal.

Wow, Megan, that sounds so scary. I hope your son heals quickly and it's nothing too seriously wrong with him. I think a few cookies were in order with a day like that.
Pat, I would love to see the purses you are making. I am making 2 purses to give as gifts to friends. I got 1 cut out and then the 2nd clue came out for the mystery quilt so it is sitting there quietly waiting for me. I will be doing the same pattern for both. It is a combination of 3 different patterns I have made.
I have to do something to get myself back on track. I have not lost any weight since July. In fact, I have gained 10 lbs since then.

Scary hardly seems to describe it....it's a miracle he was not hurt worse in the fall. You will be in my thoughts, with hopes that whatever the issue, it is minor and resolved quickly.

Congratulations Jeanne49 - that is a great weight loss at any time - but especially awesome based on the fact that Thanksgiving was in there.

Good luck in December everyone !!

Update on my boy, he's feeling pretty good now, we have an appointment in the morning with our family physician. Can't wait to get him in. I haven't been on the scale since Friday morning so I don't know where I'm at, but since Friday I've been back on track.

My friend invited me to share a table at a craft fair at an elementary school next weekend so I'll be working on something for that this week.

That's good to hear, Megan. Please let us know what they find. Hope he continues to feel well.

I had book club last night and didn't do great, but didn't do as poorly as I normally do. That's something, right?

Pat, my FQ is going in the mail this morning.

Meagan that is a scary thing. I hope everything checks out OK> Tomorrow is cookie day at work. Everyone is supposed to bring their favorite cookie to share. Then we are going out to dinner before my quilt guild meeting. It is our Christmas party there so there will be lots of goodies to eat. I hope I can behave myself. I need to finish my purses tonight so I can bring them for show and tell tomorrow. I also want to make one of those log cabin Santa ornaments. I will try to post pictures tomorrow. I still can't figure out how to get the pictures from my iPhone onto the board.

I haven't tried to load pics from my iphone. I only do them from my ipad and sometimes it won't let me. No idea why.

I tried to upload pics yesterday and for the first time ever I couldn't. I don't know why, either. I had moved them from my phone onto my computer, which is how I've always done it, but kept getting an error message. I think it said "invalid" or something to that effect. Very frustrating!

Just tried to do it again. The message says "upload of file has failed"

I think I have finally found some will power. Had a luncheon yesterday and when I looked at a few of my college friends, that I have not seen in years, I was in awe. They not only maintained over the years but probably also lost! Granted, I cannot exercise like they do --- but I could zip my lip. Had oatmeal and tea for brkfast and planning on a pear and cheese stick for lunch. Keep fingers crossed.
