I have had a great heating pad for years that I heat in the microwave. I want to make a cover for it. Can flannel be used in the microwave?? I would wash it of course.

As long as the flannel is 100% cotton, I don't see an issue.....I usually just use cottons for the bags I make.

great thanks. I"m off soon to get some flannel. well to see if they have it at Walmart. also some twill tape to make hanging loops on my two new kitchen towels.

don't forget, you have to use 100% cotton thread. have fun and show us what you do.
