On recommendation, I switched to Seventh Generation due to allergy and dry hands issues. While I agree you might need more of it, the comfort level I experience now is worth having to use more.

LOL I was out of Cascade this morning. DH said he took container outside to use some in the power washer. He forgot to close the lid so the pods got wet and all melted. I used the dishwashing recipe with Dawn. Dishes are clean and no sudsing.
Don't use more then the recipe calls for.

That brings back memories of a time my husband used dishwashing liquid in the dishwasher. Omg! Suds galore, all over the place LOL. I don't know if I trust your recipe, Onebyone. I have PTSD of that day haha!

I'll give that a try ,for over 15 years I've used Dawn, and started getting dried skin at my knuckles so bad they hurt.Don't know what caused this, but I switched to Palmolive and it was cleared up in 2 days. I have a dishwasher but only use it when I have company. I still use Dawn for removing stains in the wash, though.

That cracked me up. LOL I use mine if only the top rack has few dishes. At my age I do what is easy. I have saved enough power and water doing dishes by hand for years so I'm using it up now.

growing up we had either Blue Dawn or Green Palmolive at every sink in the house, it was way cheaper than the hand soap I've inherited that and we've got Method dish soap for hands at all the sinks (we like the scents) and Blue Dawn Platinum for the dishes (mostly knives and the odd pot that I'd rather wash than wait for another dishwasher load.) For showers and tubs: Dawn, vinegar, and a touch of cornstarch equals almost no scrubbing! I've heard the Dawn Powerwash is also fantastic for showers and tubs.

I use my dishwasher every day - for storage. It came with the apt. I rent. Not sure why they put it in an apt. for one person. I would rather have more cabinet space. I store plastic containers, foil, cling film, wax paper, etc. in there.

I use Dawn and also use it in the laundry room. Good to assist in getting stains out of the laundry. Doesn't take much so
don't get carried away or you will have suds everywhere. lol ask me how I know!!!
