Post Jenome Memory Craft 6500P sewing machine..

Any other owners out there? I have question about the thread cutter (the 1 on my Brother embroidery machine worked sooo well). When used it sounds soooo loud & kinda cuts the fabric underneath.... Bought it used.. Thanks in advance....

I can't give a definitive answer, but there is a group on Yahoo for owners of
these machines. I have a 6600. Think I was a member but saw something
shiny....

I have a Brother Dream Machine and a Janome 6500P. Each are just as you describe. I love the cutter on the Brother. The Janome could stand some improvement. It works well but is quite loud.

Don't have a Janome, but if it's cutting the fabric, something's not right and you need an adjustment somewhere.

take it to a maintenance/repair technician certified to work on janome machines.
the 6500 is not supposed to be loud, and the problem with the thread cutter sounds quite serious.

Yes, it has an audible click and no it has never ever even nicked my fabric. That doesn't sound right. Does it suck or pull your fabric down?

The noise is normal, all of my Janomes make a noise thread cutting. Never have had one cut the fabric.
