I loved Dark Shadows. In my house it was a "hidden" activity after school, since my parents considered it the work of the devil. Very religious. I'd keep one eye on the show and one on the driveway and would hurry and turn it off before they got in the door.
"Memory" songs are "Morning has Broken" which played as my first not-so-dear hubby and I walked out of the church. It makes me sad. "Back in the USSR" was the first song I ever danced with a boy. "Crimson and Clover" was playing when very-dear hubby and I were on our first real date.
My DH got me hooked on "Star Trek" when we were dating. We'd get together after work everyday to watch the show. Guess I'm a Trekky now. We were good friends back then, before we fell in love. I can't see an episode now without thinking of a wonderful time in my life...falling in love with my best friend.

I, too, loved Dark Shadows. I was telling my husband about that show a couple of weeks back. He never heard of it. (but, he does know who Luke and Laura are!!) And, no, I'm not a cradle robber! We were both unemployed around '80 so we'd turn on the tv sometimes during the day.
Speaking of Soaps, we'd rush home from a Friday dinner out so we wouldn't miss Dallas.
We often talk about how there are so very few fun, good shows on tv anymore. It's ok if you're into CSI or some other drama - egads, we have enough drama in our lives! Life used to be so much lighter!
