Do you like the climate/weather where you live?

probably wouldn't like it here either unless you like long winters this last one seemed very long as even June was wet and cold 6 more days of the 90's then a cooling trend maybe fall is coming yaaa. been a very short growing season this year

(quote) That's my Minnesota!!!!! Edie
Sorry, I really didn't mean to diss MN. We've lived up here for 20 years now, and yep, you are sooo correct, there is plenty to like up here. Love the Twins, but will keep my Tampa Bay Bucs as favorite football team. Most of the other things you mentioned I'm quite fond of also, but I still don't like the climate/weather - topic of conversation - here (or the bugs)...

We used to live exactly where you live now and did not care for the high temps and particularly the FOG in the winter. When we retired, we moved to the foothills (near Jackson, CA) and are at 2,600 feet. We are above the fog and below the snow. (although we do ocassionally get nuisance snow that melts quickly......) It is beautiful, we have warm temperatures but rarely over 100 degrees and enjoy the pine trees, cedar trees, manzanita and madrone trees. It is Heaven!!!!!
p.s.--it always cools off at night

I have lived in Maryland my whole life. We have the mountains and the ocean. We are close to Washington D.C. for sightseeing. We get the heat in the summer and some snow in the winter, but our springs and falls are magnificant. There is no prefect place. We do not get many hurricanes. By the time they come up the coast, they are generally tropical storms.

Well, the Tennessee Valley area sounds about right. This area is where I want to retire..... I grew up in FL and am currently in Tampa for awhile...no longer than a year at the most.. but I will be back. TVA (Tennessee, Northern Alabama) area has lot's to offer .. four season's, very snow, easy living..close to moutains and not that far to the beaches of Florida.
Also, Alabama does not have property tax when you are 65 or older and TN does not tax SS..... look on http://retirementliving.com/RLtaxes.html
for information on state taxes..so look in these area's too...

I live in Northern Calif. and love the weather, it does get hot
here for a few days in summer, but for the most part its a
great climate...not to far from ocean, mountains and the redwoods...some areas housing is expensive, right now is a good time to buy
