Have you been to the Elephant Sanctuary web site?

If you have even a slight interest in them you must take some time to see this amazing place.

They give refuge to retired and abused animals. a place where they can live the rest of their lives in peace. They have video cameras around the sanctuary and you can see the elephants throughout the day if they are in camera shot. I keep it on all the time to check in on them.

I love elephants. I have a collection of at least 200. Too many to count. all kinds, and from several countries.

I always liked the movie Dumbo until I started feeling that they were really mean to him and his mother, then I felt so sorry for them that didn't even want to see them at zoo or circus, but my DD whois very active in the political party that uses an elephant for their mascot, has kind of started collecting elephants, not cartoon or circus ones, but beautiful ones free and wild....so she will enjoy the web site and me also. thanks so much....she wears a tiny silver elephant on a chain around her neck...so dainty...

My grandchildren were disappointed last week. They went to the Detroit zoo and there were NO elephants.
