I went to one of my married DD's yesterday and she pulled out a (new to me...I never knew she had one) pressure cooker, threw her food in and 30 min. later we had a wonderful dinner.
Scared me to death because I remember seeing a pressure cooker blow it's lid off at a friend's house when I was growing up.
So I've never had the guts to use one.

But her dinner was done so quickly and everything was so tender that I'm trying to talk myself into getting one and trying it too.

Does anyone here use one?
Do you have to change your recipes at all?

DH loves them and I hate them. He is the only one who uses ours.

My mom used one all time when I was growing up for cooking and canning. I use to use one when kids were growing up and still have one but don't use it much anymore. They are nice but its something you do need to watch while useing it. I would never put food in it and then go outside and do yard work or go downstairs and sew.

I use mine all the time. I haven't used it for canning yet, but I can get a rack accessory to convert it to a pressure canner- something I may pursue this summer if the prices keep going up.

I just bought an All-American canner! I don't plan to cook with it though. I can remember my mom frequently cooking with one.

I used to have one and the thing made me nervous as all get out with all that pressure built up inside! :D Now I stick to my slow cooker and just love it. :D

I use mine a lot! It is an electric one...do not think I would even let a non-electric in the house...too scary!!!
