Default does any one have more than one needdle embroidery machine

I have a diaper bag I want to embroidery a name on. However my hoops will not fit. it is 12 " long with a zipper at the top and pockets 7 1/2 " pockets on the front. it gives you only about 3'' To 3 1/2'' to get a hoop on it. I have not found one that will work any ideals? I have a Toyota 9100 embroidery machine. Is there any one who can help me.

My thought is to embroider on a separate piece of fabric and hand appliqué that onto the diaper bag.

You could remove the pocket, put it on a stabilizer with spray adhesive then embroider it, then sew it back onto the bag. Could you post a picture of the bag? We could give you better suggestions if we know what you have.

Or if you check the instruction book for your machine it may be possible to attach the bag onto the hoop you have using clips. I have the Husqvarna Topaz 20 and I can do it. I have tried it once but it was a pain, so I went out and bought a magnetic hoop.

Have you tried sticky stabilizer--in the hoop and then press the area you want to embroider onto it. Works really good, tho with the weight of the bag moving around, I would put a few pins around the outside edges where they won't be in way of needle. I do many projects where I only hoop the stabilizer and pin my article to it. I rarely hoop my project anymore--I use this method and sometimes use machine basting frames to hold in place.

I would go with the suggestion of making a pocket from the embroidered name and attach it to the bag.
