Samsung makes the LCD panels for Sony and for several others, so when we were looking, we though...hmmmm....

A lot depends on what type of flat screen you want...Plasma, LCD or LED...

We have LG...and Life is Good! ;) It's a great TV...and as good as anything I've seen out there!

Thanks for all your quick replies. I was worried that it might be inferior to the other brands mentioned. LG brand is new - at least to me.

We have a 52 in Samsung and love it. We've had it for about 3 years.
