He's just not the kind of guy that knows how to come up with good gifts. However, on my birthday this week, he surprised me with a Kindle.

I haven't ordered a book yet, but I am looking forward to using this wonderful bit of technology.

Having a bit of a Southern accent, I told a friend about the gift on the phone. She asked, "Does it smell good?" Ha! Ha!

You are going to love it! I have one that my husband bought me for Christmas last year and I really use it a lot. Amazon has a lot of free books available. Enjoy your present :)

I have been eyeing the "Nook". I was surprised to find so many quilting magazines available on the nook. But, if you like the pattern, can you download it, print it or somehow save it to another computer? I have to do some research on that aspect. Enjoy it.

I got a Kindle last year for Christmas and absolutely LOVE it. If you use the search feature on it and type in "Public Domain" it will knock your socks off on what is available. Enjoy it!
