Unfortunately, most of our family will not be available in November for dinner. So....we decided to celebrate the holiday on October 9 during the long Columbus Day weekend. It was so beautiful here in western NY on Saturday, we took the turkey, stuffing, squash, sweet potatoes outside and had dinner on the picnic table. It was really neat and we may do that again somtime. I reccommend it.

What a great idea and it makes the holiday dinners not so close together. By the time New Years comes, most people are tired of those big meals.By the it is Diet time.

That sounds absolutely wonderful. What a great way to celebrate. I wish we would do that in our family since we are the travelers and I am getting frustrated with going north in snow, ice, junk weather. Thanks for sharing your fun festivities.

I love to do Thanksgiving dinner through out the year. Everyday can be Thanksgiving, family and good food is all it takes. Of course, that goes without saying, thankful for all of God's blessings every day.

Nothing better than family and friends together. Loved taking the traditional meal outdoors; wonderful idea and no doubt will be remembered longer than a typical Thanksgiving get together
