Here in Central VA faired rather well. Lots of rain and some wind but didn't lose power. I was prepared for the worst and was happy that we were spared the rough stuff. My prayers go out to all those who lost their homes and the families of the ones who lost loved ones. God is good!!

We did just fine in Virginia Beach too. We are far enough from the coast that mostly it was street flooding I just stayed home. My step mom lives in Bayville NJ and lost power . I saw the pictures of Seaside NJ and just cried. My dad grew up there , worked the boardwalk growing up, lived 2 blocks from the beach . The family owned his childhood home there, until recently, after his death, my stepmom sold it. I can't even imagine what it is like to deal with the kind of destruction people have to deal with from these storms. My heart goes out to them

Friends in Philly area phoned saying no power, big trees blocking roads, everything torn up, but they are safe. Haven't heard yet from friends in Wash D.C. area. Praying for all.

A friend from CA went to DC on Sat. Rain, flooding, no public transportation (except taxis which were charging $15 premium for trips) gov't bldgs, museums closed Mon. They were able to get out yesterday & are visiting the Supreme Court today.

We are also on the Eastern Shore of Maryland. We had a lot of strong wind and rain. We did not lose power and that certainly made a difference. Lost a few tree limbs, but that is all. We were so fortunate. Thank you to all of you who
sent your prayers and good wishes.

Glad to hear that so many are just having after effects. Even in WI we are having a lot of wind. Prayers for everyone who weren't so lucky.

I have been keeping up on the news and can't even picute how bad this is for millons of people. prayers go out to all of you.

In central Kentucky our temps dropped 30 degrees and the wind was very strong with rain. Eastern KY got snow in the mountain area.

I'm in a high rise facing the Hudson River and NYC skyline. It was the worst I've ever seen. My building kept power, elevators were turned off, a window blew in my apartment from the unbelievable rain and water poured in but fortunately our good neighbor helped me get it back in place. The town of Hoboken, five minutes away, was flooded out and is closed. The building next to me has power but others around us were dark last night and all the townhouses on the road "down the hill" plus the A&P mall had no power. Over 100 homes in Breezy Point NY were destroyed by fire and the town is virtually wiped out. You can't imagine how bad this storm was. I'm among the lucky ones. Sending good wishes to those that were hit much worse.
