Default Egg Money Quilts

I just realized that I have "egg money quilts"! Well not the actual pattern or quilt but the "Egg Money"
We have eleven hens that lay eggs daily and a dozen eggs per day adds up fast! We sure can't eat that many eggs, So I take the eggs to my work to give away folks. I have always said they don't need to pay for them but still a few give me a couple of dollars here and there for chicken feed or whatever.
Like today, I found $2 on my desk with a note, "Thanks for the fresh eggs".

Well all of a sudden it hit me like a ton of bricks! "Egg money quilts!" They would spend the money earned from selling eggs on fabric to make new quilts! HELLO! That is what I'm doing! duh!
ok so I once was blonde in my younger days. funny how things just hit you out of the blue.

I will have to make me a little container to sit on my desk and collect money, that says
"Egg Money Quilts"

How about a jar that says "How to Make Eleven Hens Lay Twelve Eggs"? I'd donate to that one!

Great idea, sometimes it takes awhile for things to hit me too.

Sounds like a good plan to me. You will start to measure the amount of eggs laid in terms of yards of fabric.

I also have chickens that lay more eggs than we can use, but some how I always owe people for favors they did for me.
I paid with eggs as they never wanted any cash. I do not eat store eggs any more since I have my own. DH says I have to much work and should give up chickens, but I love that type of work, Ruby, a chicken pet of mine eats out of mt hand and sits up on a rabbit cage and tells just how to do my chores and I`m in trouble if I don`t have grapes for her treat!

Good idea, farm eggs sell for $3 a dozen and more up here in Canada.
