I need to buy an electric frypan. My old one just gets really hot in the middle first. Can anyone recommend one that gets hot more evenly. I'll use it mostly for pancakes, eggs etc.

I hate the ones with that "no stick" coating, so got one that is stainless steel. I've had it for some years now and it still looks like new. It's a PRESTO brand.

For just pancakes and eggs, I like the electric griddles, more surface area and no sides to deal with :D:D:D

I have a stainless steel one from Presto that I have had for years and years. I love it. Sure going to hate if it ever quits working on me. I use it for everything from making biscuits to making lasagna.

Thanks for your replies. If you can do biscuits I should be able to do pancakes. I'll look at the Presto brand.
