Email Spoof Alert
#1
Yesterday while checking my email, i saw one from PayPal saying they were suspending my account temporarily and please log in to update info. Instead i called PayPal to see what was going on and was told it was a Bogus email! It was the same format PayPal uses and even had an ID #. The guy was amazed at how clever the hackers are getting. So PLEASE be careful and call instead of clicking the sites open!

If the guy was surprised, he must have been new to PayPal, cause I have been getting this e-mail for years. I also get them from banks I don't have accounts at, credit card companies for cards I don't have. They just mail them to everybody and if you happen to click, they got lucky.
There is an e-mail address you can forward the emails to, something like [email protected], not really sure. I used to forward them, but not anymore.
I also used to get e-mail saying I was late on payment for eBay item or did I still have some item I never had available.

My hubby got one yesterday that announced that a new person was being added to our account - unless we "object." We forwarded it to phishing at PayPal.
I also received one that said "my last transaction" had been rejected - - - - well, since I had not bought anything recently, I knew it was a scam - - and if I have an angry vendor out there, he is going to be sure to let me know!
