It will be atleast 5-6 weeks before hummers make it here. I have orioles during the summer too. They are beautiful. The robins are scouting out my huge walnut tree for their nest this year. Yup, it's spring!

SW MO here - and yes, we put out grape jelly in a bright yellow detergent cup (washed out of course). We saw a Baltimore Oriole yesterday around our regular bird feeders so we hurridly put out our grape jelly cups but have not seen a bird since. They stay around here all summer eating the jelly.

I am fascinated by them, too. So miniscule.

I have tried two years to bring the hummers in. Maybe I live in a area that is to busy ? They are at my daughter's neighbor's every summer. The location is very quiet. Anyone spot any in Ky , Ohio , or Indiana?

I've had them back for a few weeks now and they are my favorite thing. At nite, they are so fun to watch..... Hungry little buggers, too.
