Nope, but a friend of ours had it done and he can see to drive at night now! Eyes were bruised a little, but all in all he did just fine.

Isn't it something that has to be re-done every few years?

My aunt had this done and good thing she did. She had to go through a series of tests and found a shadow on her lung. Found out that it had to be removed and good thing they did. They removed her lower left lobe of the lung and she quit smoking the day they found the shadow . She is doing much better and went on the have her lids done and is doing fine now.
Just imagine if she didnt go for the testing.

I had my upper eyelids done about 7 years ago. They were so bad the insurance paid. It was very easy. I kept ice packs on (frozen peas) for longer than the dr. recommended, (2 days instead of 1) and slept sort of sitting up for a few days and I didn't bruise at all. The dr. was amazed. He said everyone bruised. I said I was determined not to. The only annoying thing was the ointment to put on the stitches blurred my vision for a little while after I put it on, but I had recorded books to listen to. I still don't need it done again.

My SIL had her eyelids done about three years ago. It made her look ten years younger! She had a little bruising, but no real problems and they still look great

I remember when Helen Kelley (columnist in Quilter's Newsletter, now deceased) had it done - she remarked on how much better she could see after the surgery!

my Sister did it at age 40. her hubby said she could do that or get a swimming pool.
I've not done it myself but would love to. she did well from what she told me.

I had it done a few years ago. I looked like I had been beat up pretty bad. I was black and blue for a few weeks. I still have the pics.
