Default When was it written or posted?

There are times I read an article or something on the internet - and for the life of me - I am unable to locate or see a posting date.

Are there clues as to where I should look? I like to have an idea of how current the article or posting is.

There seems to be no "rule". Some stuff is dated; some is not.

I have occasionally found a date imbedded in the url that prints out at the bottom of each page, but that seems to be unusual.

For example, I just googled this article - which is fairly interesting, though technical - and I have not been able to locate a date for when it was written or posted.

    http://www.fibre2fashion.com/industr...g-threads1.asp

I would find it useful to know if this is recent information or not. I am guessing it was written some time after 1990, but that is about as close as I was able to get from what I could see.

Or for any other undated article, for that matter. What seemed to be true at one time, may or may not still be "true" now.

So - my question was serious -

Ask in the comment section how current the information is or when was the research done on the subject for the writing of the article.
