I do not like FB.....to many people whom I don't know or in some cases do not wish to know trying to be my "friends"...
E-mail or phone is good for me

I just want tp know how to get out from under some things that I liked - never again. Too much junk mail.

Quilter68, just go to the site you 'liked' and click the button again. It should 'Unlike' you. I did that
and have none now. Others show up occasionally, I just hit the hide button on the side. Morag, if
you don't want to befriend anyone, go into the 'friend' part and click ignore, or not now or whatever
it says. I'm picky about who I want posting on my wall. Some I've even blocked out later.

Dropped out of FB already .....never mind possible fees. I found it fairly superficial.

That's one thing that will be dropped like a hot potato if they decide to charge for it!

If they start charging a fee, I will drop it. There are too many times I see garbage on there. If I want to communicate with someone I still use e-mail, not on my phone either.

I use FB to keep up with relative, GC and friends who live away from me. I just set privacy settings I need. I don't use it daily and I have complained about a threatening person which FB blocked from my page. They were very helpful with the situation. It's only a technology tool like the Quilting Board. I don't solicit or click on any of the ads or play the games. You can block anyone who wants to befriend you, if you like.
All media/technology have their own slants. Don't take only one's "opinion" as fact. Do the homework yourself and become informed enough to make an your own "opinion" which will probably be better anyway. Information is very, very easy to come by in this techno world of ours...
