I am SO a winter person. The only thing summer is good for is ripe tomatoes.

You bet in Houston we are waiting for October...we usually get a bit of cool in the evenings and mornings!!!
I am definitely with you! The precipitation map shows slightly drier than normal. Oh, to be "MUCH Wetter"! Stay cool, Emerald!

I'm not looking forward to below normal temps & above normal snow in Michigan. I have to shovel that snow myself! Oh well, we do what we have to.

yes but you get light fluffy snow right?? I get wet heavy deep snow. and as my parents plow snow, we're (my brother and I) told if the driveway isn't cleared by the time they get home, we don't get supper. So we're often out shoveling when most kids are realizing they can sleep in. oh, and no snow blower because that's not how my dad did it back in ye olden days when he lived in that house

Not all our snow is lite, often is very wet & heavy. Last winter we had lots of heavy and deep snows. I live alone and I'm soon to be 77 years old.

jan, that's when you buy a snowblower or get the neighborhood kids to shovel for you. My brother and I often get our neighbors as they're in their upper 80s. they want to pay us but we say give it to church instead. We also got this other neighbor's short driveway as she works 3rd shift and lives alone. I don't think she knows who does it but that's okay.

love your avatar by the way!
