I don't know if I am just being extrememly fortunate or if all of the soy products that I have been eating/drinking for menopause are helping with the fibro too...but I have not had a really bad flair up since I increased my soy bean intake.

I use vanilla soy milk for cereal and to drink, the chocolate is pretty good also...I was NOT pleased with some of the store brands nor would I EVER suggest the plain
I eat the beans in the pod as a vegetable like peas or beans *usually packaged as Edamame*
I tried the soy peanut butter...ended up mixing it half and half...still wasn't as good tasting as the "real" thing LMBO
tofu...I love it marinated/seasoned and then fried
Health food depts have a lot of meat substitutes made of soy that are pretty good also.
Bonus:
Hot flashes almost completely gone
Fibro not bad, considering the time of year and what I have been doing
Soy has a lot of protein
Soy has been said to lower cholestrol
Depending on what you buy and how it is prepared it can be a low calorie food, too.

I am an unoffical natural health/healing person.

try this

1 Tbs apple cider vinegar
1 Tbs honey
stir into 1 cup hot tea

Drink this twice a day. You WILL fell better in about 1-2 week but continue to drink this on a daily basis forever. If you don't like tea mix it in apple juice the best way to do this is take a little apple juice and heat it so the honey disolves then add the rest of the juice and apple cider vinegar.

Let us know how you are in 2 weeks

Another soy product I use is TVP ...textured vegetable protein. I buy it at a local market here and I fool my family with it all the they don't know it isn't meat ...it is healthier for them. 8)

We eat the soy "sausage patties" all the time. They are very good and not greasy at all which is a big plus in my book.

The textured vegetable protien Chrismah spoke of is excellent for things like taco meats. Once you toss the spices in no one notices the difference.

FYI If you are on medication for hypothyroidism be sure and check with your pharmacist or dr about using soy.

WOW!!! I didn't know that, thanks for the heads up!!! I have family with that, and wouldn't want to cause them any harm if I fix a dish with it...as far as I know, I am the only one who eats soy products....
