FINGER MONKEYS Do you believe this?

    Finger Monkeys

Enjoy! If it weren't for the Internet... Would you have ever seen or have known about these little creatures? They are way too cute!

They are native to rain-forests of Brazil , Peru , Bolivia , Ecuador and Colombia . (Source: Buzzle)
Finger monkeys are, as a matter of fact, pygmy marmosets.
They are also known by the names "pocket monkey"and "tiny lion".
This cute little primate hugs and grips on to your finger so tight that it pulls your heartstrings and you wish you could take it home with y ou.
    Finger Monkeys
The finger monkey is the tiniest living primate in the world.
It's so small that it can hold on to your finger.
These primates belong to the family Callitrichidae, species Cebuella and genus C. Pygmaea.

They're adorable. My daughter needs a pair. She has a mini-zoo/farm with the usual dogs, cats and fish tank along with dwarf goats, a miniature horse, rabbits, chickens & ducks. She's had guinea pigs and hedgehogs. She wants a pot-bellied pig, but her husband won't let her. I have a lot of grandanimals & a couple of finger monkeys would be great additions. My GS and GD would love to have more cousins.

Are these full grown or infants? Some look like they barely have their eyes open.

    Red face

The joke in our house is that my DH wants to buy me a monkey when the kids leave the house. I keep telling him no way but I would take a couple of those. They look so cute and not dangerous at all. Beth

They are cute . But to me they look the best right where they belong in the rain forest.

i think they were Sea Monkeys that you saw in the old magazines. You could send away for them and then put them in water to see them grow, kinda like shrimp.
